The New England Aquarium’s Right Whale Research Program has been at the forefront of right whale research since a remnant population was discovered in 1980. Our program is the longest-running and most comprehensive North Atlantic right whale research and conservation initiative in the world. In addition to maintaining the North Atlantic Right Whale Catalog, we are investigating solutions to reduce the threats of boat strikes and fishing gear entanglements. Your support helps save critically endangered North Atlantic right whales by giving scientists the resources to study and protect them in their natural habitats.
